HIGHLIGHTED ORGANIZATION
http://www.arugallery.org
In November 2006 Arc
Resources Unlimited (ARU), a program of The Arc of Monmouth, and VSA arts
of New Jersey collaborated on a new art gallery at the Freehold Raceway
Mall, featuring work by artists with disabilities. The gallery offers
exhibits, receptions with the artists, workshops, and open house
gatherings. The gallery also retails sale of artwork at this major
shopping destination in the heart of Monmouth County. In ARU's quest to
promote the skills, talents, and dreams of people with disabilities, the
collaboration with VSA arts of New Jersey was a natural progression.

ArtPRIDE New Jersey - a coalition of
organizations and individuals, advocates at local, state and national
levels for funding, support and recognition of the arts as vital to New
Jersey's quality of life, education, and economic vitality.

Autism Link / NJ - We believe that an
autism organization should actually do something for its members. We
provide all kinds of events and assistance free of charge to our
membership -- including social outings, conferences, teacher trainings,
advocacy assistance, etc. We do all of this not because we're paid to do
it, but because we want to.

|
Center For
Learning Enhancement, Inc -
The Center provides a
unique holistic, developmental approach to learning. Through learning
therapy and cognitive skill training children and adults are prepared to
learn in school and function effectively in life through programs as
Bridges Learning System and PACE. Once the cognitive, perceptual and
sensory integration skills critical to learning are developed, remedial
instruction is provides using scientifically proven programs to eliminate
gaps in reading, writing, spelling, and math. |

philanthropic organization
that enables donors to provide on-going funding for charitable
organizations across New Jersey and the country. We also work to provide
and develop local leadership that results in responsive philanthropy for
the communities in which we live and work. We are a philanthropic engine
dedicated to the betterment of the communities of New Jersey.

Disability
News & Views Radio Show - To be a
voice that will build
and maintain a leadership position in the media for people with
disabilities as we promote awareness, educate and inspire. To build
bridges between people with disabilities and people without, as well as
entertain and break down the mental and physical barriers and to realize
the unique gifts and talents each human being has.

DOORS -
Douglass Organization for Occupational and Related Educational Services,
Inc. ("DOORS") is a parent-run organization which provides funding for
various social, educational, and recreational services for students of
Douglass
Developmental Disabilities Center ("DDDC"), located on the Douglass
College campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. These
programs are essential to the total growth of an individual with autism.
Traditionally, however, these kinds of programs don't often receive
funding from state or local agencies, so DOORS was founded to fill the
funding gap. With expert advice from professionals in and outside
the field of autism, DOORS helps fund programming for over 100 individuals
attending the
DDDC. |

Handicapped
Scuba Association International -
HSA
International Training Center of NJ is a scuba school dedicating itself to
improving the physical and social well being of people with disabilities
through the sport of scuba diving. Disabled diving provides an excellent
form of physical therapy enabling children and adults to participate in a
water sport locally or while on vacation travel. Many of us know someone,
a friend or family member, we'd like to involve in scuba diving. Or, we'd
welcome the challenge of learning about disabilities, accessibility issues
and how to dive with people who have disabilities. The HSA "Dive Buddy
Program" offers able-bodied divers this opportunity to expand their
underwater world to include sharing it with a handicapped partner, with
training focused on recreation.
