Rewarding Work - New Jersey
http://www.rewardingwork.org |
Individuals with disabilities, elders, and their family members
particularly, find it challenging to recruit support outside their
immediate network of contacts. As states continue to move to expand home
and community-based services-specifically, services that are
consumer-directed-the need for additional support for individuals
increases. And, as both caregivers and people with disabilities age, the
demand will grow to huge proportions. This is coming at a time when the
potential available workforce is decreasing. Rewarding Work
Resources, Inc., a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation, developed the
Rewarding Work website which gives older people and individuals with
disabilities the choice of hiring staff directly and allows them control
of the process of hiring personal assistants. The site also provides
private agencies a resource to assist in recruitment of direct support
professionals and other staff.

One-Stop
Toolkit for Serving People with Disabilities
http://www.onestoptoolkit.org |
Welcome to the One-Stop toolkit website, a technical assistance product
developed by DTI Associates, Inc. on behalf of Disability Program
Navigator Grantees. This website provides accessible and comprehensive
tools and information to grantees who provide services that help
individuals with disabilities find and keep good jobs. The resources on
this website will help grantees widen the array of services available to
individuals with disabilities at One-Stop Centers, and integrate those
services seamlessly into One-Stop operations. This website is
targeted toward state and local One-Stop service providers, but it
contains resources that will be useful to a broader audience as well.
Individuals with disabilities, advocates, parents, counselors and other
professionals should find a rich source of information here.
